The staff of the Innovative Teaching Center and the members of the Faculty Development Committee work together to develop training opportunities for full- and part-time faculty and continuing education instructors. These training opportunities are designed to support the teaching/learning and professional development of the college community.

 Goals

	Support teaching/learning and professional development for full- and part-time faculty, continuing education instructors, and staff.
	Introduce faculty to current trends in instruction.
	Offer a comprehensive training program focusing on the art and science of teaching/learning, technology in the classroom, distance learning, and personal enrichment.
	Develop and discover new resources for faculty.
	Facilitate the application of computer, Internet, multimedia, and other technologies in teaching and learning.
	Support the integration of technology in the classroom and throughout the learning process, wherever that learning occurs.
	Explore new instructional formats and technologies to enhance the delivery of course content in traditional and distance learning courses.
	Provide training and support for the development and delivery of distance learning courses and programs.
	Promote new distance learning courses, programs, and faculty/student support services.
