Global Initiatives Committee Mini-Grants, 02/26/08

The Global Initiative Committee is once again offering full and part-time faculty and staff mini-grants to further CSM’s mission to prepare its students and community to meet the challenges of individual, social and global change.  Awards will be based on activity goals, benefits and interest to the college and community, amount of funding requested, and total number of programs funded.  This year we are especially interested in proposals that support college-based international programs such as learning lunches, guest speakers, lectures, seminars, festivals and performances on the three CSM campuses.

Do you have a great idea for internationalizing your curriculum or hosting a community activity at CSM?  The Global Initiatives Committee announces the next round of mini-grant opportunities. Individual ($500) or group ($1000) projects should fall within the following areas:

* Integrating an international dimension into college courses and academic programs
* Faculty development
* Institutional linkages with international partners
* International programs for students
* Local business assistance and community outreach
* Learning lunches or guest lectures
* Film series, art shows or dances
* Multi-cultural activities

The application deadline for spring/summer mini-grants is March 14, 2008.
