A convenient way to re-enter expressions in the calculator (especially if they are long and/or complicated) is using the repeating previous entry capability of the calculator.
Say we entered the expression (3 + 4) - 5 * 7 into the calculator, but wanted to change the 4 to an 8. There is no need to retype the entire expression. We simply can have the calculator retype it for us.
Step 1: Press the yellow 2nd key, then the ENTRY key (in yellow above the ENTER key). Keep pressing those two keys back and forth until you see the expression you want.
Step 2: Use the arrow keys to move the cursor over the number you want to correct. In this example, it would be 4
Step 3: Type over the number you want to replace. In this example, we will type over the 4 with 8.
Step 4: Press ENTER. The answer will show up on the right side of the screen.
Repeating previous entry to make a correction is only one application of that function. Use it whenever you do not want to retype something you have previously entered in the calculator!
