Using FRAC and DEC |
The calculator has the capability of converting decimals to fractions as well as fractions to demicals.
Example: Convert 0.6648 to a fraction.
Step 1: Enter the decimal into the calculator. In this example, it would be 0.6648.
Step 2: Press the MATH button. Two down from yellow 2nd button
Step 3: Note the 1: is highlighted. That means FRAC will be selected when you press ENTER. FRAC will appear on the home screen to the right of the decimal.
Step 4: Press ENTER. The answer will appear on the right side of the screen.
There are two ways you can convert a fraction to a decimal:
You can use a similar process to convert a fraction into a decimal. In Step 3, after you press MATH, use your arrow keys to highlight 2: DEC with the cursor. Then press ENTER twice.
You can enter the fraction as a division problem, then press ENTER.
Either way should give the same answer.
