MyMathLab Online/Self-Paced Training

PART I: Obtain an Instructor ID

Step 1: Request an Access Code.  Go to this website to do it:

http://www.coursecompass.com/website/requestform.html

Pick the publisher of the book that you will be using in the Fall.  For those of you teaching MTH1000, MTH1040, MTH1080, MTH1120, MTH1130, or MTH1150, choose "Prentice Hall".  For those of you teaching MTH1100, MTH1105, or MTH2300, choose "Addison Wesley/Benjamin Cummings."

Follow the prompts.  When you get to the prompt that has you enter your email address, be sure to use your COLLEGE email address.

Check your COLLEGE email fairly soon after you make the request for the code.  If you don't see the email, check your JUNK folder -- it might have been misdirected there.

Step 2:  Register.  Go to this website to do it:

https://register.pearsoncmg.com/reg/register/reg1.jsp

You will need your access code handy when you register.

PART II: Complete the Online Training

If you have not completed training, then you need to complete the training online.

For MyMathLab, you will need to have access to a computer with high speed internet AND a phone simultaneously to do the training.  It uses WebEX with a live person leading the session.  Go to this website:

https://pson.webex.com/mw0302l/mywebex/default.do?siteurl=pson

It defaults to the "Upcoming" sessions, but you can click on the "Weekly" or "Monthly" tab for future dates...You want to do two sessions - "MyMathLab/MathXL Beginning" and "MyMathLab/MathXL Intermediate".  Once you have chosen a section, click on "Registration" under the "Status" column (on the right hand side).  Fill out the form and after you submit, you should receive a confirmation email BUT print out the info before you close the registration page.  Some info about the form - Ginny Harbold is our book rep and you need to select "MyMathLab".
